State Secretary Roland Weigert opens the LZSiS showroom

On 11 July 2019, Roland Weigert, State Secretary at the Bavarian State Ministry for Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy, opened the showroom of the High Performance Center »Secure Intelligent Systems« (LZSiS).

In his speech, Roland Weigert highlighted that Fraunhofer's innovative strength is an important factor for the Bavarian economy. The demonstrators in the newly opened showroom feature a very diverse spectrum of new technologies in a wide variety of application scenarios. In addition to Industry 4.0 projects, the thematic spectrum includes for example Smart Health and Automotive. The opening of the showroom and the presentation of the demonstrators was accompanied by a high-quality presentation program in which experts from the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft as well as representatives from industry (Linde AG, Procon IT AG) gave exciting impulse lectures on digitalization.

In the new LZSiS showroom, partners and customers from industry and science can now experience demonstrators live on site which illustrate the synergetic collaboration of the institutions involved in the High Performance Center. Innovative, interdisciplinary technological developments are demonstrated here with concrete application examples. "It's a great opportunity to see what LZSiS can do for companies when it comes to digitalisation," says Dr. Sabine Trupp, head of the LZSiS.

The opening event was organized in cooperation with the Zentrum Digitalisierung.Bayern (ZD.B).
